We believe ballet is for everyone! Unfortunately, boys often face bullying and stigma for doing ballet, especially as children, and this discourages many boys from pursuing dance or speaking about it openly.

As part of our efforts to counter this prejudice and encourage boys to dance, we started our Boys Dance Free initiative in 2022. Male students pay no tuition, only fees, at the Academy of Dance.

In 2023-24, we started a Friday Boys' Class for boys aged 7-10. This class focuses on men's ballet technique, including jumps, turns, and upper-body strength. Boys' Class can be taken as a standalone class or in conjunction with our ballet program. Students in the Boys' Class will have their own part in the summer concert.
